Does Tulshi Cement manufacture its own cement?

What is the difference between OPC, PPC and PSC?

OPC (Ordinary Portland Cement, IS 269) gains strength fastest and is the usual choice for structural RCC work and precast elements. PPC (Portland Pozzolana Cement, IS 1489) blends clinker with fly ash for better workability, lower heat of hydration and greater long-term durability — ideal for general residential construction, plaster and masonry. PSC (Portland Slag Cement, IS 455) substitutes blast-furnace slag for part of the clinker, giving strong resistance to sulphates and chlorides, which makes it the specified grade for marine, effluent and sulphate-soil environments.

Should I use 43-grade or 53-grade OPC?

53-grade reaches higher compressive strength faster and is used where the structural design calls for it — high-rise columns, prestressed elements, and fast formwork cycles. 43-grade is adequate and often preferable for ordinary residential slabs, beams and masonry, where the extra early strength of 53-grade brings no benefit and can increase shrinkage cracking if curing is not disciplined. Follow the structural engineer's specification rather than choosing on grade number alone.

How do I know the cement I receive is genuine?

Every bag we supply reaches the buyer factory-sealed, drawn directly from the manufacturer's plant or depot. Each consignment carries its manufacturing batch and date, so any bag on site can be traced back to the plant and week it was produced. All grades conform to the governing Bureau of Indian Standards specification, and test certificates are available on request.

How should cement be stored on site?

Cement is hygroscopic — it absorbs atmospheric moisture and loses strength before it ever reaches the mixer. Store bags on a raised wooden platform clear of the floor, away from external walls, in a dry covered space. Stack no more than ten bags high, keep the stack covered, and use older stock first. As a rule, use bagged cement within three months of its manufacturing date.
